In December 2025, during a meditation I had an epiphany.
Four mental streams – three of organizations led by incredible teams and one I have been focusing research on – came into harmony. The realization was that our privilege to focus on any improvements in our lives, that of our families, of our communities, or beyond is a privilege. That privilege is not assured across time, space, and history.
While there is much to improve in our country, inspecting both cursory consideration and deep analysis of where else I could or should raise a family, I believe we are lucky to be alive where and when we are.
These freedoms are defended by dedicated, selfless women and men, and have been across generations. These freedoms are forged by men and women caring for others. And the formation of these freedoms are continuously worked on by people in power – their legacy being forged by their impact.
This was my first call on the subject. I am grateful for Amber and Marcus Capone, Ian Hassel, and Dan Koh for their commitment to their missions and for coming onto the call.
